Pacific-China Aero And CAE Sign Training Agreement

Hong Kong-based Pacific-China Aero Technology (PCAT) has signed an exclusive training agreement with global training provider CAE, which is based in Canada. PCAT is a new customer for CAE (Booth P1012) and will send pilots for training in the Gulfstream G450, Beechcraft King Air 350, Cessna Citation XLS, XL, Sovereign and III platforms. Pilot training begins in May on the Sovereign at CAE’s facility near New York City.

PCAT is an aircraft sales, leasing, aviation training and consulting company and was founded in 1985. “We have chosen CAE as our exclusive training provider for our fleet because it covers all our aircraft types,” said PCAT vice president Michael Wang, “and offers the same high-quality training in its centers in China, the UAE and the U.S.”

CAE also announced that its Bombardier Challenger 604/605 simulator received certification from regulatory authorities in Hong Kong, the U.S., Europe, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Qatar. “The multiple certifications and proximity to Asia allow us to serve our customers close to where they operate,” said Walter Visser, managing director of Emirates-CAE Flight Training and CAE business leader Middle East and Asia.
