The new Shenzhen Business Aviation Center that opened for business in late December is tangible evidence that at long last China is getting serious about providing infrastructure for this segment of air transport. Indeed, it is effectively the first purpose-built FBO in southern mainland China.

The facility at Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport has been developed and will be run by Deer Jet, the aircraft management/charter arm of the Hainan Airlines group. In addition to serving the fast-growing city of Shenzhen itself, the airport is a gateway to the wider Pearl River Delta and to nearby Hong Kong and Macau.
