Flying Colours Flying High on Challenger 850 Contracts
Flying Colours, a Canadian independent completion and refurbishment center, is knee-deep in cabin finish work on Challenger 850s and conversions of CRJ200

Flying Colours, a Canadian independent completion and refurbishment center, is knee-deep in cabin finish work on Challenger 850s and conversions of CRJ200 regional jets to executive use. The Peterborough, Ontario-based center delivered its first Challenger 850 completion under contract to Bombardier in December 2009, has another six in various stages of cabin finish work and is awaiting arrival of an eighth aircraft.

In the meantime, Flying Colours is also busily reconfiguring CRJ200s to executive configuration. “We’ve already delivered seven of the converted CRJ200s, two of them under our own ExecLiner brand,” said director of sales and marketing Sean Gillespie. Others were done for aircraft brokers who purchase the aircraft and have them completed by Flying Colours on behalf of customers.
