Air Charter Operator ExcelAire Adds Falcon 50
U.S. air charter operator ExcelAire (Booth No. 749) recently added a Dassault Falcon 50 to its fleet. The jet is based at Morristown Airport in New Jersey, making it easily accessible to both the New York and Philadelphia areas. “The Falcon 50 can take off and land on shorter runways and at more demanding airports,” said David Rimmer, executive vice president of ExcelAire. The company, which also operates Gulfstreams, Hawkers, Learjets and Embraer Legacy 600s, bases airplanes at its headquarters at Long Island MacArthur Airport, where it operates an FBO, and in Wilmington, Delaware. It maintains an office and hangar space at Teterboro Airport in New Jersey.

Aero Dienst Approved for HUD-IIIA Ops
German charter operator Aero Dienst (Booth No. 1051) has been approved for HUD-IIIA operations with its Dassault Falcon 900EX EASy aircraft. The new license, which is the equivalent of the Cat IIIA clearance for airlines, allows landings down
to a ceiling of 50 feet and a runway visibility of 570 feet.
