The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is developing a supplemental notice of proposed rulemaking (SNPRM) for the
Large Aircraft Security Program (LASP) that will incorporate feedback received from pilots, airport officials and others during the program’s initial public comment period.

During a meeting of the TSA’s aviation security advisory committee (ASAC) early last month, government and industry officials received an update on the proposed LASP that was rescinded earlier this year after a storm of overwhelmingly negative comments.
