Matt Thurber, editor-in-chief at AIN Media Group, has been flying since 1975 and writing about aviation since 1978 and now has the best job in the world, running editorial operations for Aviation International News, Business Jet Traveler, and FutureFlight.aero. Stratos is seeking to raise $12 million to build two flying prototypes and is taking $50,000 refundable and escrowed deposits. Stratos is planning to exhibit its cabin mockup at next month’s NBAA Convention. First flight of a prototype is planned for the fourth quarter of next year, followed by certification and entry-into-service in the fourth quarter of 2012.
