At the recent World Airline Entertainment Association trade show in Seattle, TEAC Aerospace Technologies introduced its new Air Tracks high-resolution in-flight moving-map software to rave reviews. Business aircraft operators got their first look at the map software at the NBAA Convention last month, and by all accounts they were not disappointed.

Air Tracks software generates impressive two- and three-dimensional topographical route maps while the aircraft is in flight, continuously updating the maps and aircraft position as the aircraft travels along its route. Passengers can view the map images on in-seat or overhead cabin displays, selecting from any of four 3-D simulated topographical views, in addition to flight and en route information. The software can be loaded to existing in-flight entertainment (IFE) servers or used with TEAC’s new Map File Server.
