NBAA board chairman Donald Baldwin, who currently serves as the association’s interim president and CEO in the wake of Shelley Longmuir’s April 1 departure, has withdrawn his name from consideration as president of the association. A spokeswoman for the association said he declined for “personal and family” reasons. The possibility of Baldwin’s running for permanent office had raised questions of awkwardness, in that any NBAA staff member pursuing the office would have been running against his or her current boss and, as chairman, Baldwin heads the board whose members are responsible for making the appointment. NBAA wants to have the new president in place by the end of the summer.
