Kerry Lynch stepped into the role of editor of the&nbsp;Aviation International News&nbsp;monthly magazine in May 2022 after serving with&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;for eight years. She joined&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;in December 2014 as a senior editor covering Washington and business aviation news. She has also served on Convention News teams, including as editor of&nbsp;HAI Convention News. Lynch previously spent 25 years with Aviation Week. During her time there, she reported for and later steered&nbsp;The Weekly of Business Aviation, oversaw business aviation content on the&nbsp;Aviation Week Intelligence Network, served on the&nbsp;Show News&nbsp;staff, and held roles as the Washington columnist for&nbsp;Business &amp; Commercial Aviation&nbsp;and&nbsp;Overhaul &amp; Maintenance&nbsp;monthly magazines. In 2021 she was honored with the National Business Aviation Association Platinum Wing Award for lifetime achievement in journalism and was the 2004 recipient of the National Air Transportation Association’s Aviation Journalism Excellence Award. She also has been a recipient of an Aerospace Media Award for business aviation (2022) and NBAA Gold Wing Award (2003, 2024). Lynch graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor of arts in journalism.

StandardAero secured Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) approval to provide maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services for Rolls-Royce RB211-535 turbofan engines.
CAAC's nod clears the way for StandardAero to support Chinese operators of the Boeing 757. A total of 70 Boeing 757s are operated by Chinese carriers, representing about 20 percent of the in-service RB211-535 fleet.
Rolls-Royce and StandardAero formed a life-of-type maintenance services partnership on the RB211-535 in 2018. StandardAero services the engines at its 810,000-sq-ft facility in San Antonio, Texas and inducted its first one in 2019.&nbsp;
StandardAero provides a suite of RB211-535 services for operators worldwide, including component repair and overhaul, used service material management, work scope optimization, and field support for AOG situations.
“Receipt of CAAC approval is a key milestone for StandardAero, allowing us to support the MRO needs of RB211-535 operators in China,” said Janice Ho, StandardAero's airline sales director for the Asia-Pacific region. “The RB211-powered Boeing 757 remains extremely popular with cargo operators in China representing the second largest market for the type worldwide.”
