Singapore Airlines Commits to Airbus A350 Freighter

A letter of intent specifying a firm order for seven A350Fs for Singapore Airlines marks the first such deal with an airline since program launch in July.

Singapore Airlines (SIA) has signed a letter of intent with Airbus to purchase at least seven A350F freighter aircraft, the companies said Wednesday. The contract, which includes options for another five aircraft, calls for deliveries to begin in the fourth quarter of 2025, when SIA will become the first airline to operate Airbus’s latest cargo offering. Airbus launched the program in July and took its first order during November’s Dubai Airshow, when Air Lease Corporation agreed to take seven. Since then, the airframer secured its second commitment for the A350F under the terms of a four-aircraft MOU from shipping and logistics company CMA CGM Group.
