UK’s Jet2 Orders 36 Airbus A321neos

Leeds, UK-based Jet2 has changed its allegiance from Boeing to Airbus with an order for A321neos.

UK leisure airline and Boeing 737-800NG operator Jet2 has placed an initial order for 36 A321neos as the Leeds-based carrier moves ahead with its aggressive fleet expansion and renewal plans, Airbus said Tuesday. The order makes Jet2 a new Airbus customer and a new A320neo operator. Jet2 plans to decide on an engine type—either CFM Leaps or Pratt & Whitney PW1100Gs—at a later date, added Airbus.
