Transport Canada Ready To Fly Boeing Max Validation Flights

Canadian aviation authorities will fly to Seattle for engineering simulator evaluations ahead of flight validations on the Boeing 737 Max airliner.

Transport Canada has finished its review of results collected from Boeing 737 Max flight tests conducted by the Federal Aviation Administration from June 29 and July 1 and plans this week to conduct its validation flight tests with the same 737 Max 7 airliner used in the FAA trials. The Canadian agency will become the first international aviation authority involved in validating the FAA data. The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has yet to confirm its intentions but it too will need to conduct its own validations before the Max flies in scheduled service again.
