SkyCargo Has Solid Year Despite Softening Global Economy

SkyCargo claims to be world's largest cargo carrier as measured by FTKMs, transporting 2.7 million tonnes of cargo in last financial year

SkyCargo, Emirates’s air cargo division, can carry up to 20 tonnes of cargo on passenger aircraft, or as much as 100 tonnes on each of its 12 dedicated Boeing freighters.

SkyCargo, Emirates’ cargo unit, has seen solid operations from its hubs at Dubai’s twin airports in the past 18 months, despite international trade disputes and softening global economic conditions, Nabil Sultan, Emirates divisional senior vice president for cargo, told AIN in the run-up to Dubai Airshow.
