ATR Names Leonardo Exec as Its New CEO

Stefano Bortoli assumes top position at regional airliner maker from now Airbus chief commercial officer Christian Scherer

Franco-Italian turboprop maker ATR has named Leonardo executive Stefano Bortoli its new CEO, the company announced with immediate effect on Monday. Bortoli assumes the chief executive’s position from Christian Scherer, who accepted the position of Airbus chief commercial officer last week. Bortoli also serves as president of the ATR board and Leonardo’s senior vice president of strategy, marketing development, and sales.
