Bombardier, Embraer Win RJ Orders from American Airlines
E175 deliveries to Envoy Air subsidiary to start in March, CRJ900s to PSA unit in next year’s second quarter

American Airlines has endowed both Bombardier and Embraer with a 15-aircraft order for each of their 76-seat regional jets, the manufacturers announced Thursday in separate statements. The Embraer deal, which involves a firm order for current-generation E175s worth $705 million at list prices, calls for deliveries to take place between next March and November 2019. The Bombardier contract, which the manufacturer values at $719 million, calls for delivery of the order’s first CRJ900 in the second quarter of next year.
