Emirates Airline was understood last month to be close to choosing between the Airbus A350-900/-1000 and the Boeing 787-9/-10 after two years’ evaluation. The airline dropped an order for 70 A350s on June 1, 2014. Virgin Atlantic is another carrier thought to be negotiating business that could be announced here at the show.
