Boeing Inks Record Deal for 737 Max 8s

SMBC Aviation Capital signs for 80 of the new narrowbodies

Boeing posted its largest single order for 737 Max narrowbodies from a leasing company Monday after collecting a firm order for eighty 737 Max 8s from SMBC Aviation Capital worth more than $8.5 billion at list prices, the airframer announced. With the agreement SMBC becomes the 50th 737 Max customer and increases the program’s orderbook to more than 2,400 airplanes.
