Record-setting Boeing 777-200LR sets down in Dubai

The Boeing 777-200LR has arrived in Dubai, fresh from setting a new world distance record for a commercial airplane.

The Boeing 777-200LR has arrived in Dubai, fresh from setting a new world distance record for a commercial airplane. Taking off from Hong Kong at 10:30 p.m. local time on November 9, the record-setting Worldliner prototype flew eastward 11,664 nm, landing at London Heathrow Airport 22 hours and 42 minutes later, at 1:30 p.m. GMT on November 10. Its exceptional flight path took it over the North Pacific Ocean, across North America and over the mid-North Atlantic en route to London.
