Polaris Aero has renewed its agreement with Collins Aerospace to integrate Vocus FlightRisk into the ArincDirect flight planning platform, providing access to automated preflight risk assessments for flight departments using Collins’ support services.
The partnership continues a more-than-decade-long relationship between the two companies. Vocus FlightRisk analyzes pilot, aircraft, environmental, and airfield risks to generate flight-specific advisories that enhance situational awareness and decision-making before takeoff.
“Vocus FlightRisk serves as an ideal preflight risk control, offering a crucial first step towards ensuring successful and safe missions,” said Polaris Aero CEO Chris Connor.
Users of the ArincDirect platform will now be able to access FlightRisk’s built-in rules engine and real-time dashboard. The system generates automated alerts and customizable advisories to help flight crews and dispatchers address potential hazards early in the planning process.
The tool also supports compliance by aligning advisories with regulatory requirements and company safety policies, according to Polaris. Polaris Aero’s FlightRisk is part of its broader Vocus safety intelligence platform, which also includes GroundRisk, Vocus SMS, and integrations with scheduling, FOQA/FDM, and fatigue risk management tools.
