FAA Proposes To Expand Offshore Va. Restricted Airspace

The FAA is propos ing to greatly expand restricted airspace along V-139 on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. Restricted airspace under the new guidelines, to be designated R-6604C, D & E Chincoteague Inlet Va., along V-139 would reach up to 3,500 feet msl. Victor-139 is one the busiest airways used by general and business aviation aircraft in the Middle Atlantic. The proposal also added a minor change on two points in the boundary of existing area R-6604A to match the updated three-nautical-mile line from the U.S. shoreline as defined by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
