Airservices: Tasmanian Airspace Is Safe

The number of aviation incidents reported does not suggest local airspace is unsafe, says Australia's air navigation service provider.

Airservices Australia, the air navigation service provider (ANSP) responsible for Tasmanian airspace, on Saturday refuted reports from a local newspaper that a number of aviation incidents represented unsafe conditions in local airspace. Of the incidents reported in the Weekend Tasmanian, none were assessed as requiring further investigation or follow up by the Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB), according to Airservices.
