Bombardier’s LA Production Operations Moves to New Plant

The facility is more modern than the previous LA location, enabling a larger operational footprint

Bombardier moved its Los Angeles-area component manufacturing operations into a more modern facility in Moorpark, California, that enables a larger operational footprint, the company announced today. Holding a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday with Ventura County board of supervisors chair Janice Parvin and other local officials, Bombardier said the move will enhance its capabilities in the region.

Producing components for the Global 7500/8000, the Moorpark plant replaces a facility Bombardier acquired in 2022. With 30 employees onsite, the facility spans 46,000 sq ft and will house precision manufacturing of components such as ball screws, acme screws, lead screws, torsion bars, extension tubes, and linear actuators. One of the key products is a ball screw (used in the wing flap deployment system) that undergoes final assembly in Red Oak, Texas, the company said.
