Albert Ueltschi on June 6 became the 50th recipient of the Godfrey Cabot Award from the Aero Club of New England. Ueltschi, founder and CEO of FlightSafety International, the Flushing, N.Y.-based training organization, was honored for his “unique, significant, and unparalleled contributions to advance and foster aviation,” particularly his involvement with Project Orbis, an international nonprofit DC-10 flying hospital that travels to less developed areas to teach sight-saving techniques and surgical procedures. The Cabot Award is named for the founder of the Aero Club of New England.
