Charles Alcock is managing editor of the AIN Media Group, having rejoined the company in 2019. He has been an aviation journalist since 1986, and previously worked for AIN from 1990 to 2017, most recently as editor-in-chief. His main focus is on covering new aviation technology and business models, as well as international news.
Having been raised in the London area, Alcock studied at the University of Manchester in the UK and earned an honors degree in Politics and Modern History. He speaks English and French, and some German.

The Association for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) has launched an&nbsp;advocacy initiative for the advanced air mobility sector. The AAM Prepared campaign, which got underway on December 6, will bring together industry stakeholders to educate state, tribal, and local lawmakers in the U.S. in the hope of influencing legislative decisions the drone industry group anticipates in 2024. 
In its AAM Prepared portal, AUVSI member companies have laid out legislative proposals and supporting research around issues facing developers of electric-powered-lift aircraft and prospective operators across the country. The campaign is backed by leading players in the sector, including Archer, Beta Technologies, Boeing, Eve, Ferrovial, Joby, Lilium, Overair, Reliable Robotics, Skyports, Volocopter, Wing, and Wisk.
