Savback Helicopters is looking to meet the fast-evolving needs of European militaries by agreeing to buy 300 of Mayman Aerospace’s Speeder P100 uncrewed air vehicles. The Swedish company is Mayman’s distributor in the Nordic countries, where governments are reviewing defense capabilities with an eye on Russian aggression.

According to California-based Mayman, which has backing from the UAE government, the P100 will use artificial intelligence to operate within a modern battlefield management environment alongside other assets. It has a 100-pound payload and a maximum speed of Mach 0.75. Mayman plans to add larger models, including the P400 and P1000, which have payloads of 400 and 1,000 pounds, respectively.
