<p>The FAA and TSA propose regulations to enable the operation of uncrewed aircraft systems (UAS) at low altitudes and beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS). The proposed rules are necessary to support the integration of UAS into the national airspace system. They are also intended to provide a predictable and clear pathway for safe, routine, secure, and scalable UAS operations that include package delivery, agriculture, aerial surveying, civic interest, operations training, demonstration, recreation, and flight testing. The TSA proposes to make complementary changes to its regulations to ensure it can continue to impose security measures on these operations. Comments are due by Oct. 6, 2025.</p>
