U.S.-based FAA&nbsp;Part 145&nbsp;maintenance&nbsp;certificate holders that&nbsp;also have or want to apply for EASA Part 145 certification must&nbsp;establish an&nbsp;FAA/EASA-approved&nbsp;safety management system (SMS).&nbsp;Operators unable to meet the original compliance deadline of&nbsp;Oct. 10, 2025,&nbsp;will have an additional two months to comply if there is a declaration included in their&nbsp;supplemental documents stating that they will be in compliance with all SMS requirements no later than Dec. 31, 2025.
