EASA is&nbsp;seeking comments on its proposed regulations&nbsp;to introduce electronic licenses for aviation personnel, including pilots. The new rules would cover how&nbsp;EASA&nbsp;will issue, display, validate, and verify licenses on mobile devices, while also allowing them to be available in hard-copy format. The proposed amendments also&nbsp;cover&nbsp;how&nbsp;such&nbsp;issues&nbsp;as&nbsp;security, confidentiality, and data protection for&nbsp;electronic licenses&nbsp;will be assured.&nbsp;Being mindful of the complexity associated with the migration&nbsp;of data&nbsp;to an integrated system, the proposal provides up to 10 years from the effective date of a final rule to include medical information in&nbsp;a&nbsp;license issued in electronic format. Comments on the proposal are due by March 19, 2025.
