Eurocontrol has confirmed that starting Nov. 4, 2025, its integrated initial flight plan processing system (IFPS) will&nbsp;automatically reject any flight plans filed above FL285 unless the controller-pilot data link communication (CPDLC) status is filed correctly. This action is being taken because ATC has been “regularly confronted with flight plan fields (FPL) that are not filed correctly when it comes to datalink,” said Eurocontrol. “This leads to confusion and workload, whereas a simple check at the IFPS level could reject such FPLs.”
