Record-keeping requirements&nbsp;for sanctioned&nbsp;(approved)&nbsp;items&nbsp;are changing.&nbsp;After March 25, 2025, the retention period for documents related to&nbsp;Cuba and other&nbsp;sanctioned countries is&nbsp;expanding to&nbsp;10 years (up from&nbsp;five).&nbsp;Specifically, individuals under U.S. jurisdiction must&nbsp;retain a customer certification for at least 10 years indicating the general license authorizing travel or remittances to Cuba.&nbsp;Universal Weather and&nbsp;Aviation recommends that&nbsp;customers&nbsp;receiving licenses for&nbsp;traveling under&nbsp;any of 12&nbsp;sanctioned&nbsp;categories&nbsp;keep either the license number or a copy of the license on file.
