<p>Business and general aviation operators will face temporary restrictions this summer due to scheduled construction work and taxiway closings at Montreal-Trudeau International Airport. According to a notice from the airport authority, commercial passenger flight operations will be prioritized over general and business aviation during the peak hours of 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. daily between June 18 and Sept. 22, 2025. In a letter to the airport authorities, the Canadian Business Aviation Association said this priority arrangement may violate federal obligations and the Worldwide Airport Slot Guidelines (WASG), which govern airport coordination globally. The WASG requires voluntary, mutually agreed schedule adjustments rather than unilateral slot allocation. “This prioritization disproportionately harms our sector, a vital economic driver for Canada and Quebec,” said the CBAA.</p>
