Corporate Angel Network (CAN), which matches cancer patients with corporate aviation donors and volunteers, has launched <a href="https://www.corpangelnetwork.org/all-news/issue-1-lifeline-publication">Lifeline</a>, a new publication designed to connect the aviation industry with healthcare professionals and the patients they serve. A nonprofit that arranges free travel on business aircraft for cancer patients, CAN said the newsletter will strengthen awareness of its mission and highlight the role of aviation in improving access to lifesaving treatment.
The inaugural issue features a range of perspectives from across CAN’s community, including reflections from flight partners, an interview with NBAA president and CEO Ed Bolen, commentary from a leading oncologist, and a firsthand account from a patient’s mother. It also includes profiles of a CAN patient services manager and a longtime volunteer, illustrating the nonprofit’s emphasis on collaboration and human connection.
In addition to storytelling, Lifeline will offer regular updates from CAN’s aviation and healthcare partners and outline opportunities for new supporters to engage with the organization. The newsletter underscores how business aviation, through both turbofan- and turboprop-powered aircraft, enables treatment access for patients who would otherwise face difficult or impossible journeys.
“Lifeline is more than a newsletter—it’s a meaningful connection point between the people who fly, the people who heal, and the people who need both to survive,” said Bob Stangarone, president and CEO of CAN. “By sharing these stories and insights, we hope to inspire continued generosity and collaboration across our network.”
