Prior to AIN, Sarah worked as a journalist for Georgia Public Broadcasting, Georgia&#039;s statewide NPR and PBS affiliate. They have also worked for several national nonprofits and as a legislative assistant in U.S. Congress. As an openly nonbinary reporter, they are a proud member of the Trans Journalists Association.

Greenbriar Equity Group has completed its acquisition of West Star Aviation, marking a new phase for the business aircraft MRO provider. The transaction sees Greenbriar take over from The Sterling Group, which had partnered with West Star in recent years to support its operational and strategic growth.
“We are on the brink of an exciting evolution, and we couldn’t be more energized by the opportunities ahead,” said West Star Aviation CEO Stephen Maiden. “Greenbriar’s extensive expertise in the aviation sector will enable us to serve our customers more effectively while ensuring the steadfast support of our remarkable workforce—an essential foundation of our success.”
Greenbriar is expected to support West Star’s continued investment in infrastructure, employee development, and customer experience. According to the MRO, the acquisition will accelerate growth while reinforcing its commitment to personalized service and high-quality technical support in business aviation. The company plans to maintain its focus on long-term service excellence as it enters this new chapter.
Founded in 1947, West Star Aviation offers comprehensive maintenance, repair, and overhaul services across all major OEM aircraft platforms. The company also operates one of the largest aircraft-on-ground technician networks for business aircraft.
