New AAR classroom aims to foster aviation maintenance talent

Commercial and government aviation maintenance service provider AAR Corp. bolstered a partnership with the Aviation Institute of Maintenance (AIM) during a ribbon-cutting ceremony on December 5 at the AIM campus in Indianapolis. This event celebrated the opening of a new AAR-branded classroom.

The new classroom is part of AAR’s ongoing collaboration with AIM across the U.S., working to create educational pathways for students interested in pursuing careers in aviation maintenance. Indianapolis also hosts one of AAR’s fellowship programs that offer students hands-on experience working part-time at AAR’s maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facility while completing coursework for their airframe and powerplant (A&P) certificates.
