BendixKing has received STC approval for its AeroVue integrated flight deck for the King Air B200. The BendixKing division of Honeywell plans on certifying AeroVue in more aircraft models in the future.

 


The AeroVue flight deck includes three 12-inch displays that incorporate Honeywell's SmartView synthetic vision system, which enhances pilot safety and alertness when flying and landing at night, at unfamiliar airports, and in bad weather.&nbsp;AeroVue also features a track-based flight management system with head-up&nbsp;display symbols on the primary display.

 


Although the panel-mounted displays are equipped with softkeys and avionics controls, pilots do not have to reach to the instrument panel to change settings and can use the cursor control device mounted on the center console. Because AeroVue is compatible with the Aspen Avionics Connected Panel wireless gateway, navigation updates occur wirelessly.

 


According to BendixKing, the AeroVue system weighs 125 pounds less than the equipment it replaces. This means that installing AeroVue could reduce fuel consumption while improving range and payload capacity. The system also meets ADS-B Out&nbsp;requirements.
