Brazil Air Force Selects Garmin G5000H for UH-60 Fleet

Brazil air force becomes fifth military program to modernize with G5000H configuration

Brazil’s air force has selected the Garmin G5000H integrated flight deck to modernize the cockpits of 24 Sikorsky UH-60L Black Hawk helicopters, with Ace Aeronautics performing the installations. Brazil will be the fifth military program worldwide to receive the modernized G5000H cockpit configuration for the Black Hawk.

The IFR-certified system uses a modular open systems architecture that allows military operators to integrate mission management, stores management, and other military-grade sensors and systems into a touchscreen-controlled cockpit environment. Garmin’s commercial-off-the-shelf approach enables operators to deploy new technologies rapidly while maintaining lower life cycle costs.
