Raytheon To Add AI to CV-22 Maintenance Scheduling

Raytheon is hopeful that adding its AI technology to the prognostics carried out on the CV-22, it can help increase the readiness of the fleet

The U.S. Department of Defense and Raytheon (Chalet 296) are working together to test the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) for smarter repairs of the U.S. Air Force’s CV-22 tiltrotor fleet. Using performance data rather than predetermined timescales, this AI tool that is being trialed will be able to be more precise on when repairs and checks have to be made, which helps in avoiding unnecessary downtime.
