Kerry Lynch stepped into the role of editor of the&nbsp;Aviation International News&nbsp;monthly magazine in May 2022 after serving with&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;for eight years. She joined&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;in December 2014 as a senior editor covering Washington and business aviation news. She has also served on Convention News teams, including as editor of&nbsp;HAI Convention News. Lynch previously spent 25 years with Aviation Week. During her time there, she reported for and later steered&nbsp;The Weekly of Business Aviation, oversaw business aviation content on the&nbsp;Aviation Week Intelligence Network, served on the&nbsp;Show News&nbsp;staff, and held roles as the Washington columnist for&nbsp;Business &amp; Commercial Aviation&nbsp;and&nbsp;Overhaul &amp; Maintenance&nbsp;monthly magazines. In 2021 she was honored with the National Business Aviation Association Platinum Wing Award for lifetime achievement in journalism and was the 2004 recipient of the National Air Transportation Association’s Aviation Journalism Excellence Award. She also has been a recipient of an Aerospace Media Award for business aviation (2022) and NBAA Gold Wing Award (2003, 2024). Lynch graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor of arts in journalism.

Bombardier manufactures a variety of business aircraft models, provides engineering, and aircraft maintenance services.

Bombardier concluded its first five-year sustainability plan in 2025, achieving three foundational targets surrounding gas emissions, lost-time incident rate, and employee engagement score while at the same time completing a company turnaround. Releasing its “2025 Sustainability Report” this week, Bombardier noted that over the last five years it has reduced greenhouse gas emissions by 25% relative to 2019, notched an employee engagement score of 81%, and marked a 33% decrease in lost-time incident rate compared with the 2020 baseline.&nbsp;
These were among several of the milestones Bombardier highlighted in the report, with others including the publications of multiple environmental product declarations for its aircraft portfolios; receiving LEED certification at its Singapore service center and installing solar panels not only at that facility but also at its London Biggin Hill site; purchasing 7.7 million U.S. gallons of 30% blend sustainable aviation fuel through book-and-claim; collectively contributing more than C$5 million ($3.6 million) to Centraide and United Way from employees and the company; and sponsoring 3,900 student internships.
At the same time, Bombardier finished 2025 by increasing revenues to $9.6 billion, building backlog to $17.5 billion, and expanding its employee base to 18,900.
“Our 2025 Sustainability Report is a defining moment for Bombardier, concluding our inaugural five-year sustainability plan. Over this period, Bombardier completed a disciplined turnaround and achieved the three foundational sustainability targets set for 2025,” said Bombardier chair Pierre Beaudoin. “I see these achievements as a reflection of the clarity of our priorities, the strength of our execution, and the unwavering engagement of our 18,900 employees, whose dedication is essential to advancing our sustainability ambitions.”
Company president and CEO Éric Martel added, “Over the past five years, Bombardier has undergone a profound transformation. Meeting all three foundational sustainability targets is a clear testament to our focus, discipline, and consistency.”
Continuing with its next five-year plan, running through 2030, Bombardier has established five targets: 15% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, 5% reduction in waste generation, maintaining the same level of water consumption, a 1.35 incident rate versus 1.41 in 2025, and a 0.50 lost-time incident rate versus 0.51 in 2025.
