A lifelong aviation enthusiast who joined&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;in 2007, Curt came to&nbsp;the publication&nbsp;from the broadcast industry where he was a national science and technology television reporter and producer. He writes on the FBO field, aviation finance, and sustainable aviation and occasionally contributes to&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;sister publication&nbsp;Business Jet Traveler. Curt was a member of the AINtv reporting staff that won the 2008 Aerospace Journalist of the Year award for Best Airshow Daily. That same year, he was a finalist for another AJOYA award. He earned an AJOYA for Best Business Aviation Submission in 2018 and was a finalist in that category in 2021. He received the National Air Transportation Association’s&nbsp; Aviation Journalist Award in 2012 and won a Pegasus Sapphire Business Aviation Award for outstanding journalism in 2021.
Before joining AIN, Curt worked with&nbsp;Consumer Reports’ television division, CRTV, and for several local television news staffs. An honors graduate of the State University of New York at Stony Brook, he earned a master’s degree in broadcast journalism from Boston University in 1995. Curt lives in New York State with his wife and two young sons.

Prime Appearance, a division of PrimeFlight Aviation Services, has made its <a href="https://www.ainonline.com/aviation-news/business-aviation/2025-11-17/primeflight-buys-aircraft-detailing-business-kteb-0">second expansion</a> in as many weeks with the purchase of aircraft detailing specialist Immaculate Flight.&nbsp;
“I am excited for the opportunities this will provide in the future as the two most well-known names in corporate aircraft appearance come together to serve our amazing industry in an even stronger way,” said Brett Logan, president and founder of Immaculate Flight.
In operation for two decades, Immaculate Flight has a national footprint with locations in 12 states and covers more than 200 airports in the U.S. It offers a full slate of cleaning and preservation services for aircraft interiors and exteriors, including mobile teams to handle urgent requests such as pet stains, passenger sickness, and bird strikes.
PrimeFlight is backed by private equity investment firms Capitol Meridian Partners and The Sterling Group. It will integrate and rebrand the Immaculate Flight over the coming weeks.
“This acquisition represents a significant step forward for Prime Appearance and our commitment to growth and nationwide coverage for our customers,” said PrimeFlight COO Charlotte Cheatham. “We will now be able to support our clients in new key markets including Atlanta, Austin, Seattle, and Nashville, while having an expanded presence in South Florida, Southern California, the Bay Area, and throughout Texas.”
Prime Appearance also this month acquired Signature Aviation’s aircraft detailing operation at Teterboro Airport.
