A lifelong aviation enthusiast who joined&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;in 2007, Curt came to&nbsp;the publication&nbsp;from the broadcast industry where he was a national science and technology television reporter and producer. He writes on the FBO field, aviation finance, and sustainable aviation and occasionally contributes to&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;sister publication&nbsp;Business Jet Traveler. Curt was a member of the AINtv reporting staff that won the 2008 Aerospace Journalist of the Year award for Best Airshow Daily. That same year, he was a finalist for another AJOYA award. He earned an AJOYA for Best Business Aviation Submission in 2018 and was a finalist in that category in 2021. He received the National Air Transportation Association’s&nbsp; Aviation Journalist Award in 2012 and won a Pegasus Sapphire Business Aviation Award for outstanding journalism in 2021.
Before joining AIN, Curt worked with&nbsp;Consumer Reports’ television division, CRTV, and for several local television news staffs. An honors graduate of the State University of New York at Stony Brook, he earned a master’s degree in broadcast journalism from Boston University in 1995. Curt lives in New York State with his wife and two young sons.

Airbus Helicopters received an order for 10 H125s from Østnes Helicopters, the airframer’s distributor in the Nordic region, this week at European Rotors in Cologne, Germany.&nbsp;This is in addition to Østnes’ order placed earlier this year for four of the light single helicopters, bringing the total to 14 anticipated H125 deliveries.
“Our customers require a rotorcraft that is not just reliable, but truly versatile, capable of performing everything from long-line utility work to passenger transport,” said Stine Østnes, the dealer’s chief sales officer. “The H125 delivers on all fronts, and we see a continuous strong demand for the helicopter on the Nordic market. This strategic procurement ensures we can maintain short delivery times and offer our customers the best availability for the world’s most successful single-engine helicopter.”
More than 130 of the global fleet of more than 4,300 H125-family helicopters are in operation across the Nordic region, employed primarily in utility and aerial work missions.
A strong presence in the Scandinavian rotorcraft market, Østnes has facilitated the sale of more than 400 new and used helicopters. Its maintenance operation is approved to deliver comprehensive MRO services for Airbus H120s, H125s, and H130s.
