A lifelong aviation enthusiast who joined&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;in 2007, Curt came to&nbsp;the publication&nbsp;from the broadcast industry where he was a national science and technology television reporter and producer. He writes on the FBO field, aviation finance, and sustainable aviation and occasionally contributes to&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;sister publication&nbsp;Business Jet Traveler. Curt was a member of the AINtv reporting staff that won the 2008 Aerospace Journalist of the Year award for Best Airshow Daily. That same year, he was a finalist for another AJOYA award. He earned an AJOYA for Best Business Aviation Submission in 2018 and was a finalist in that category in 2021. He received the National Air Transportation Association’s&nbsp; Aviation Journalist Award in 2012 and won a Pegasus Sapphire Business Aviation Award for outstanding journalism in 2021.
Before joining AIN, Curt worked with&nbsp;Consumer Reports’ television division, CRTV, and for several local television news staffs. An honors graduate of the State University of New York at Stony Brook, he earned a master’s degree in broadcast journalism from Boston University in 1995. Curt lives in New York State with his wife and two young sons.

NetJets, which controls the greatest market share of private aviation in the metro New York City area, will take over the former Signature Aviation South FBO terminal at Teterboro Airport (KTEB). NetJets had long occupied space in the terminal that will now be renovated in cooperation with Signature and entirely dedicated to serving the company’s fractional aircraft owners.
The enhanced facility will include many of the amenities found in other NetJets exclusive-use terminals, including a private ramp and hangar space, owner lounge, conference rooms, refreshment bar, and dedicated parking starting in 2025.&nbsp;Signature recently <a href="https://www.ainonline.com/aviation-news/business-aviation/2024-01-02/signature-acquires-two-fbos-meridian-purchase">increased</a>&nbsp;its already sizable presence at KTEB with its purchase of Meridian, formerly the last independently-owned FBO on the field, giving it control of four of the six FBO locations there, and it will continue to operate Hangars 2 and 3 at the rebranded NetJets facility.
Meanwhile, NetJets recently opened a dedicated terminal in Bozeman, Montana (KBZN). It will soon start work on an exclusive service hub in Scottsdale (KSDL)—its first new-build location, to be operated in partnership with Jet Aviation—and one in Las Vegas (KLAS), a two-hangar FBO with dedicated terminal and parking due to open in 2027.
Other such facilities are in various stages of development in Eagle, Colorado (KEGE); Atlanta (KPDK); Bedford, Massachusetts (KBED); and Austin (KAUS) and Dallas (KDAL) in Texas.
