Kerry Lynch stepped into the role of editor of the&nbsp;Aviation International News&nbsp;monthly magazine in May 2022 after serving with&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;for eight years. She joined&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;in December 2014 as a senior editor covering Washington and business aviation news. She has also served on Convention News teams, including as editor of&nbsp;HAI Convention News. Lynch previously spent 25 years with Aviation Week. During her time there, she reported for and later steered&nbsp;The Weekly of Business Aviation, oversaw business aviation content on the&nbsp;Aviation Week Intelligence Network, served on the&nbsp;Show News&nbsp;staff, and held roles as the Washington columnist for&nbsp;Business &amp; Commercial Aviation&nbsp;and&nbsp;Overhaul &amp; Maintenance&nbsp;monthly magazines. In 2021 she was honored with the National Business Aviation Association Platinum Wing Award for lifetime achievement in journalism and was the 2004 recipient of the National Air Transportation Association’s Aviation Journalism Excellence Award. She also has been a recipient of an Aerospace Media Award for business aviation (2022) and NBAA Gold Wing Award (2003, 2024). Lynch graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor of arts in journalism.

Lausanne, Switzerland-based Fly 7 Training received approval from the Swiss FOCA aviation authority for its Frasca-built flight simulation training device for the Pilatus PC-12 NGX. Beginning in January, Fly 7 and Pilatus will offer initial PC-12 NGX training using the simulator, which will also be available for European commercial carrier lease.

 


Incorporating Frasca’s three-channel 220-degree visual system, the flight simulation training device has been programmed with various European custom visual databases, as well as the original Honeywell Advanced Cockpit Environment system.

 


"This is the first PC-12 NGX simulator in Europe and another milestone for the future of the PC-12,” said Matthias Luder, director of sales and marketing for Pilatus Aircraft.

 


Fly 7, which was founded in 2011 and joined the Jetfly Group in 2019, provides PC-12 management and operations. The Fly 7 training organization has qualified PC-12 pilots for more than 10 years.&nbsp;In addition to the PC-12 NGX flight simulation training device, Fly 7 has a PC-12 NG flight deck trainer.
