Kerry Lynch stepped into the role of editor of the&nbsp;Aviation International News&nbsp;monthly magazine in May 2022 after serving with&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;for eight years. She joined&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;in December 2014 as a senior editor covering Washington and business aviation news. She has also served on Convention News teams, including as editor of&nbsp;HAI Convention News. Lynch previously spent 25 years with Aviation Week. During her time there, she reported for and later steered&nbsp;The Weekly of Business Aviation, oversaw business aviation content on the&nbsp;Aviation Week Intelligence Network, served on the&nbsp;Show News&nbsp;staff, and held roles as the Washington columnist for&nbsp;Business &amp; Commercial Aviation&nbsp;and&nbsp;Overhaul &amp; Maintenance&nbsp;monthly magazines. In 2021 she was honored with the National Business Aviation Association Platinum Wing Award for lifetime achievement in journalism and was the 2004 recipient of the National Air Transportation Association’s Aviation Journalism Excellence Award. She also has been a recipient of an Aerospace Media Award for business aviation (2022) and NBAA Gold Wing Award (2003, 2024). Lynch graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor of arts in journalism.

Multi-platinum singer/songwriter and private pilot Dierks Bentley is returning to NBAA as a keynote convention speaker, but this time virtually. Bentley, who appeared on the mainstage at NBAA-BACE in 2015, will be the opening keynote for this year’s NBAA GO Virtual Business Aviation Convention &amp; Exhibition (VBACE).

 


Scheduled to speak at 1 p.m. EST on Wednesday, December 2, Bentley will present a “'free-and-easy’ keynote that will have a vibe characteristic of the overall event, which has a single, game-changing aim: bring people together, in an industry that thrives on connection,” NBAA said.

 


Bentley’s 2015 address turned into a convention highlight; NBAA president and CEO Ed Bolen said he was “one of the best speakers we’ve ever had. He just walked out and spoke from the heart about what being a pilot meant to him. His passion and emotion reverberated throughout the crowd.”

 


While held virtually on December 2 and 3, VBACE is designed as an interactive, immersive event that will house many of the elements found in NBAA’s on-location BACE, including keynotes, educational sessions, and press conferences. As for the hallmark of BACE—the convention floor—the event will host some 200 exhibitor booths that will be presented virtually in 3D animation.
