Kerry Lynch stepped into the role of editor of the&nbsp;Aviation International News&nbsp;monthly magazine in May 2022 after serving with&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;for eight years. She joined&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;in December 2014 as a senior editor covering Washington and business aviation news. She has also served on Convention News teams, including as editor of&nbsp;HAI Convention News. Lynch previously spent 25 years with Aviation Week. During her time there, she reported for and later steered&nbsp;The Weekly of Business Aviation, oversaw business aviation content on the&nbsp;Aviation Week Intelligence Network, served on the&nbsp;Show News&nbsp;staff, and held roles as the Washington columnist for&nbsp;Business &amp; Commercial Aviation&nbsp;and&nbsp;Overhaul &amp; Maintenance&nbsp;monthly magazines. In 2021 she was honored with the National Business Aviation Association Platinum Wing Award for lifetime achievement in journalism and was the 2004 recipient of the National Air Transportation Association’s Aviation Journalism Excellence Award. She also has been a recipient of an Aerospace Media Award for business aviation (2022) and NBAA Gold Wing Award (2003, 2024). Lynch graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor of arts in journalism.

MRO Insider continues to expand the capabilities of its website, adding the ability for users to send specific quote requests from selected providers. Under the upgrade, a user&nbsp;may opt to select the facility for a quote or use the previous platform on MRO Insider that would send out a request for a quote from all facilities that match the user's needs.

 


“We released this new update to assist the MRO Insider network in expanding their reach on the website,” said Andy Nixon, co-founder and v-p of sales. “Currently, facilities receive only requests that match their capabilities. After additional focus on our customers' needs, we realized there may be users looking for quotes from facilities that they believe may work on their aircraft but currently do not.”

 


The direct request feature enables the facility to provide a higher level of customer service by responding to a request that it may otherwise have not noticed, Nixon added.

 


MRO Insider was founded in 2016 to bring together users with MRO facilities by providing a web venue for maintenance quote requests for corporate aircraft, including rotorcraft. Registered owners or operators select their aircraft, choose the service, specify date, and can furnish documents such as equipment lists or status sheets. Once the request for quote is submitted the network is notified.

MRO Insider Adds Specific Quote Capability to Website

Users now can seek an MRO quote from an individual provider or send out a request to all matching providers in the MRO Insider network.
