Kerry Lynch stepped into the role of editor of the&nbsp;Aviation International News&nbsp;monthly magazine in May 2022 after serving with&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;for eight years. She joined&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;in December 2014 as a senior editor covering Washington and business aviation news. She has also served on Convention News teams, including as editor of&nbsp;HAI Convention News. Lynch previously spent 25 years with Aviation Week. During her time there, she reported for and later steered&nbsp;The Weekly of Business Aviation, oversaw business aviation content on the&nbsp;Aviation Week Intelligence Network, served on the&nbsp;Show News&nbsp;staff, and held roles as the Washington columnist for&nbsp;Business &amp; Commercial Aviation&nbsp;and&nbsp;Overhaul &amp; Maintenance&nbsp;monthly magazines. In 2021 she was honored with the National Business Aviation Association Platinum Wing Award for lifetime achievement in journalism and was the 2004 recipient of the National Air Transportation Association’s Aviation Journalism Excellence Award. She also has been a recipient of an Aerospace Media Award for business aviation (2022) and NBAA Gold Wing Award (2003, 2024). Lynch graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor of arts in journalism.

King Aerospace Commercial Corp. is experiencing record growth with earnings that are up 30 percent over its Fiscal Year 2017, the company reported.&nbsp;The family owned-business, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, pointed to a notable jump in its Boeing VIP work at its Ardmore, Oklahoma facility with seven such aircraft currently in various stages of maintenance and modifications.

 


CEO and founder Jerry King said in 25 years of business, the company has not experienced such an influx at one time of the Boeing jets. The current aircraft comprise five Boeing Business Jets, a Boeing 737, and a Boeing 757.&nbsp;The work scope runs from routine maintenance, paint, and avionics to interior modifications.

 


“This is a milestone for us,” added president Jarid King. “It’s great to have this many Boeing aircraft at the same time and to have satisfied customers, who have shared with me that they feel at home.”

 


The growth comes as King Aerospace recently was appointed by GE Aviation as a GE OnPoint service center. Under the multi-year agreement announced during last month’s NBAA convention in Orlando, King Aerospace will provide maintenance and repair for BBJ CFM56-7B engines.
