Charter provider Jet Linx recently began expanding throughout the Northeast U.S. The company is working on opening locations in New York, Boston, and Chicago, which are expected to be operating by year-end. Jet Linx also tapped former JetSuite v-p of sales and marketing Cameron Gowans as president at the Chicago location and former NetJets executive v-p John Daut as base president for the Northeast region. Including these three new locations, Jet Linx will operate in 17 worldwide markets.

 


“Since our inception in Omaha, Nebraska in 1999, Jet Linx has grown regionally toward both coasts,” Jamie Walker, Jet Linx president, told AIN. “As we open the Northeast, the power of our national fleet and infrastructure only gets stronger. We are also the third-largest aircraft management company in the U.S., which enables us to offer our aircraft owners significant cost savings. Aircraft owners in the Northeast will immediately experience the buying power of 100+ aircraft nationwide.”

 


The new locations will offer the same services that can be found at all Jet Linx locations, including jet card and aircraft management programs. The company is assessing operations and maintenance team needs to ensure the staff is sufficiently trained. “We invest substantial efforts, energies, and financial resources on a continuous basis to develop, implement and uphold the leading standards in the private aviation industry,” Walker explained.

 


While the company prepares the new Northeast locations, Jet Linx will continue to look for other regions to expand. “We see great potential in West Coast expansion following our entrée into New York, Boston, and Chicago,” he said. “We are actively pursuing opportunities in Los Angeles, San Jose, Salt Lake City, and other major markets.”
