The Miami Marlins announced Wheels Up as the official private aviation company of the team’s Green Room VIP lounge. Wheels Up will promote itself to guests of the lounge, including celebrities, "influencers," and athletes. The Green Room is presented by Ciroc.
"The partnership is another result of establishing and developing meaningful relationships in the corporate world, both locally and nationally," said Dave Oxfeld, vice president and head of corporate partnerships for the Miami Marlins.
Wheels Up offers members access to more than 85 aircraft with as little as 24 hours' notice. The company’s fleet includes a mix of the King Air 350i series, Citation Excel/XLS, and Citation X jets. Both individual and business membership options are available after a one-time initiation fee followed by fixed hourly rates or pay-as-you-fly options. Members of Wheels Up are not required to commit to a number of minimum hours flown or obligated to fly within a specific aircraft offered by the company's fleet.
"We are confident the Marlins will help us fulfill our goal of creating a world-class experience for our 5,000-plus Wheels Up Members, as well as continuing to support the communities where we operate," said Wheels Up founding partner Justin Firestone.
