Pilatus recently named Cutter Aviation its authorized sales and service center for the Southwestern U.S., which includes Southern California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, and Colorado. Tempus Aircraft, which previously held this position with Pilatus, is currently under receivership. In addition to taking over Tempus Aircraft’s service center at Centennial Airport (APA) on April 1, Cutter Aviation will offer Pilatus services from its Dallas and San Antonio locations starting this summer.

 


Tom Aniello, v-p of marketing at Pilatus, told AIN the company cut ties with Tempus Aircraft because “they were not performing per our dealer agreement with them.” The company is having a short-notice <a href="http://www.starmanauctions.com/index.php/onsiteauctions/dave-s-airparts/icalrepeat.detail/2018/04/27/101/-/tempus-aircraft-sales-service-llc-by-order-of-receiver-short-notice-friday-april-27th-2018-centennial-airport-englewood-colorado?filter_reset=1">auction</a> with Starman Brothers Auctions in Englewood, Colorado, on Thursday. Some of the items from Tempus Aircraft that are up for auction include ground support equipment, aircraft scales and test sets, office equipment, avionics test equipment, hand tools, and Pilatus specialty tools.

 


Will Cutter, president and CEO of Cutter Aviation, told AIN that the company might purchase some of Tempus Aircraft’s equipment from the auction to add to its own equipment. The Phoenix-based company has hired four of Tempus Aircraft’s mechanics and is planning on hiring more personnel for its Dallas and San Antonio facilities.

 


As the sales and service center for Southwestern U.S., Cutter Aviation will be responsible for all PC-12 and PC-24 sales and services in this region. Will Cutter told AIN that the company has already sold two PC-12s that will be delivered in July and August. These two aircraft are part of the five aircraft the company received for the year. Cutter Aviation will service approximately 300 PC-12s this year, which is almost 20 percent of the global fleet.

 


Cutter Aviation joins Western Aircraft, KCAC Aviation, Epps Aviation, Skytech, and Pro Star as a Pilatus service center.&nbsp;Earlier this year, Pilatus <a href="https://www.ainonline.com/aviation-news/business-aviation/2018-02-08/planesense-takes-keys-first-pilatus-pc-24">began</a> PC-24 deliveries by handing over the first aircraft to PlaneSense.
