Gama Aviation Hutchison (Hong Kong) on Thursday announced a collaboration with China Aircraft Services Ltd.’s (CASL) facility at Hong Kong International Airport for business jet maintenance services as a general sales agent. The collaboration exclusively permits Gama Aviation to sell CASL’s business jet maintenance services in Asia.

 


CASL has already acquired FAA and Cayman maintenance approvals for the Gulfstream G350/450, G550 and G650/650ER, as well as for the Bombardier Global family. Bermudan and Hong Kong civil aviation department approvals are expected shortly.

 


Asked about the company’s Asian strategy and growth plans, Gama Aviation Hutchison general manager Sergio Oliveira e Silva told AIN, “Our collaboration with CASL is a win-win. We’re bringing tremendous value to clients where they can finally have what we’d like to call a ‘normal MRO experience.’ There are plans to expand the facilities in Hong Kong, and we’ve got a few ideas for China. For us, it’s all about the right timing, the right place and the right partner.”

 


Gama Aviation CEO Marwan Khalek, added, “Today marks a new era for Gama Aviation in the region. For many owners and crews, the inconvenience, cost and unnecessary engine and airframe hours of flying to alternativee service facilities has ended. Now Hong Kong has the capability, and we are proud to represent this through our collaboration.”
