Dassault: Chinese Bizjet Market ‘Waking Up’

China is the second-largest market for the Falcon 7X, with 29 of the model currently in the country.

Chinese buyers are giving Dassault’s Falcon 8X a careful look, with its globe-girdling range and quiet comfort. According to the company, “People who want one, buy one.”

Dassault Aviation brought its flagship Falcon 8X to the ABACE 2017 static display (Chalet 9), and if the success of the 7X in China is any indication, the 8X should do quite well in this market. According to Jean-Michel Jacob, president of Falcon Asia-Pacific, Dassault already has one 8X under contract with a Chinese customer. “Prospects [for the 8X in China] look extremely good,” he said. “And there are many negotiations in progress already.”
